Weekends at our house are usually spent working outside, trying to keep the weeds from taking over. But for the first time since C was born, we decided to take a little weekend getaway to Washington, MO. Missouri is chock full of cute, historic river towns and we’re suckers for old homes and quirky museums!

The Missouri River is abnormally high right now due to the rainfall we’ve had this summer. South of the river and up the hill, you’ll find streets lined with German-style architecture and ornate churches.

If you find yourself in Washington, be sure to check out Cowan’s Restaurant and pick up some pie!

Apparently Washington is the world’s most prominent corn cob pipe manufacturer. The more you know!

Washington, MO is full of charm and history!
